The SWF (Shockwave Flash) video format is a multimedia container format developed by Adobe. It was commonly associated with interactive animations and games on the web, especially in conjunction with Adobe Flash technology. SWF files can encapsulate both vector graphics and video content and were widely used for online multimedia presentations. However, due to the decline of Flash and the emergence of more modern and secure web standards, the use of SWF has diminished, and major web browsers no longer support Flash content.
